Under the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s presidency of the G20 in 2020, Al-Nahda served as the host organization for the Women 20 (W20) Engagement Group and concluded its work with a virtual summit in October 2020 attended by more than 1,300 participants.
During the summit, the W20 Chair, Dr. Thoraya Obaid, presented the final communiqué to H.E. Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz — may God protect him.

In December 2020, Saudi Arabia handed over the presidency of the G20 and the W20 to Italy to lead the work for the following year.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi delegation continues to represent the Kingdom in the W20’s ongoing activities and meetings to contribute to drafting the leaders’ final communiqué and preparing for the 2021 W20 Summit to be held from 13–15 July 2021.
